Zion Country eco-beach cabins are situated in Muirton Pen, Portland, between Manchioneal and Long Road in the East of Jamaica. There is no commercial tourism here. The green forest surroundings make Zion Country eco-beach cabins a popular place for nature lovers, ecotourism, back packers and low budget travellers. Zion Country's eco-beach cabins are well planted with lumber trees and fruit trees like: banana, breadfruit, plum, ackee, orange, soursop, pear, coconut, almond, Jamaican apple, passion fruit and pineapple mixed with Caribean plants and flowers.
History
Zion Country eco-beach cabins is a 1 acre property with a private beach, what has a view to the ocean and to the John Crow mountains. Dutch born Free-I, from Holland, bought the one acre property in 1996 , re-landscaped it and built 4 wooden beach cabins (rooms), all with sea view and private balconies where you can relax or fall asleep in a hammock. The work took five years but Zion Country Eco-beach cabins opened it’s doors in 1999 and hosts visitors from all over the world. Zion Country Eco-beach cabins open year round. On the property, you can meet Rasta Mocko,the perfect bush-doctor and story-teller.
