Description

The Rose Hall Triathlon is a unique sporting event in Jamaica that takes place at the 18-hole Robert von Hagge, Cinnamon Hill golf course; the spanking Iberostar Rose Hall Resort and along the newly constructed North Coast Highway.

The triathlon will include:

  • A 10-kilometre run, against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea and lush mountains of the Rosehall estate.
  • A 1500-metre swim starting at Iberostar Rose Hall Resort, which boasts a beautiful white-sand beach, extending approximately 750 metres.
  • A sprint cycling starting from Iberostar through Spring Farm and ending at the Rose Hall Great House.

The triathlon takes place on Sunday, October 26, coinciding with the four-day health-and-wellness retreat, which starts on Thursday, October 23. The international athletes will compete against a host of Jamaicans, including a number of former Miss Jamaica World title holders, Reggae Boyz and local Olympians. Fully endorsed by Rose Hall Developments Limited, the wellness segment will highlight holistic methods, including yoga, reflexology, Raki, Jamaican medicine men and 'Ital' cooking. Both events are expected to demonstrate the mutual benefits that can be derived from twinning sports tourism with health and fitness. So, what are you waiting for? Come out and be a part of this invigorating event!
